Thanksgiving Is Almost Here

Am I the only one that’s wondering where 2018 went?  I can’t believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are quickly approaching.  For me 2017 and 2018 were filled with a lot of obstacles.  However, I feel like time just passed me by!
I’m really looking to make some big changes for 2019, but before I get ahead of myself, I need to take a moment a realize that Thanksgiving is less than a month away.  One thing I know, is I will not be doing any Black Friday shopping.  I did that one year, and that was enough for me.  I prefer to do most of my shopping online anyway.

My #1 priority is to decide what I’m going to be cooking for Thanksgiving and what kind of gathering I want.  I really think I will just stick to just having my little family at home.  I don’t enjoy the rush of packing 6 people off from one family member’s house to the other.

My food list will be ever changing until the day before.  A few items that always make the list are:

  1. turkey or ham
  2. dressing
  3. deviled eggs
  4. green bean casserole
  5. rolls
  6. cranberry sauce
  7. pie

My husband is a foodie, and he will want a variety of pies.  I will also have to narrow down the list of demands from each member of the house.  Everyone gets greedy eyes and they start listing off tons of food items they want included.

Guess I better hop onto Pinterest and see what types of new and fun ideas they have for the holidays.  Comment with a few of your own holiday favorites! I need all the inspiration I can get.
