Our school PTO does monthly treats for the teachers. This month they did a sweet and salty theme. I decided to find something on Pinterest for my PTO treat. I am so pleased with the recipe I chose, that I had to share it with you!
I found this delicious looking recipe for pumpkin crumb cake muffins from Sally’s Baking Addiction. I love baking , although I haven’t really done it in a long time. I’ve worked doing event cakes for years, but I’ve never done a crumb cake. I was worried my crumbs wouldn’t stick, but they turned out beautiful!
The only thing I didn’t have in my pantry was maple syrup, so I grabbed a bottle at Kroger and gave it a try. Everyone raved about how pretty they were and how yummy too! I was able to get a dozen full size and a dozen mini muffins from one batch.
I kept the mini muffins for home. Then I added the toppers I bought at Hobby Lobby to the regular sized muffins. I wanted to bring something they could eat now, or take with them. So I placed them in clear punch cups and wrapped them in matching cellophane bags, that also came from Hobby Lobby.
This is definitely something I will make over and over again. I can’t wait to try more of her recipes.
